3. Tarem rice is cultivated in all northern provinces. It is one of the well-cooked rices and has an extraordinary height. This type of rice is known as majalis rice, because it has characteristics such as good taste and aroma and good texture. One way to recognize the authenticity of this rice is that if it is pressed between the palms of the hands, it should leave a little fat on the hand. This product, which is considered to be the best type of Gilan rice, is cultivated in the fertile lands of this province, hence it is called Gilan Sadri rice.

The distinctive feature of Shiroudi rice is its cheap price compared to other varieties, but this cheapness is not the reason for its poor quality, but it has an acceptable quality compared to its foreign counterparts. Many factories and offices are requesting to buy this type of rice.

6. Fajr rice

This type of rice, like Shiroodi, is placed in the category of high-yield varieties, which is usually cultivated in Golestan province. The color of its grains is opaque glass and small in size. Compared to other high-yielding cultivars, it has a good aroma, smell and taste. Fajr rice is mostly used in offices and restaurants and is one of the best rice in the north.

7. Half-grain rice

This type of rice is actually not a separate brand, but broken grains of different rice, but it should be noted that they have the same cooking characteristics as the original rice. Tarem of Mazandaran and Hashemi of Gilan can be mentioned among the most desirable half-grain rices. This type of rice is mostly used for cooking rice milk, yellow rice, soup and the like.
